It’s been a while. In fact, it has been 25 years since we last hosted the Cycle Messenger World Championships (CMWC) in Zurich. Back then, about 700 messengers gathered in Zurich for a week of racing, messenger culture, and partying. Now, in 2024, we want to bring you another unforgettable experience. Mark your calendars for the week of July 29 through August 6.

What you can expect from us

Of course, you can test your competitiveness in all kinds of races on land and water or in the forest. But we also want to show you our city and our countryside with group rides, an evening at the open track velodrome, an exhibition featuring artifacts from messenger culture worldwide and parties. And bring your family, as we will have a kids space as well on the race days. We will update our program as it evolves: https://cmwc2024zurich.org/en/competition/__trashed-2/

We know that we have invited you to one of the most expensive countries in the world, making it a high barrier for many people to attend CMWC 2024. But to make it accessible for as many messengers as possible, we have staggered our entry fees. In addition we will be providing low priced accommodation – bring your sleeping bags, it’s going to be a slumber party – and free meals during the week. So register now: https://cmwc2024zurich.org/en/registration/

Support us

We’re well on our way with the organization, and with your support, we’re confident that the CMWC will be nothing short of legendary. However, with less than four months to go, we are asking for the support of our community.

As most of you know it takes a lot to make cycle messenger championships happen. So one of the most important things we need right now is to find many helping hands. If you are up for putting in a few shifts let us know. We have various benefits for everyone who helps out. Sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScjzSrbN4gGKTEqs-gOr_w4L_mcwUrLOU0ImqZGHmWjuvjB3g/viewform

We would also appreciate it if those of you who are able could make a small donation. Every penny counts and every contribution gets us closer to delivering an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike: https://cmwc2024zurich.org/en/sponsoring/

We hope to see a lot of familiar and fresh faces this summer.

Very sorry to announce the passing of Bonz Fuchno (Maritime Hall, Speedway, Lightning Messenger). He was one of the first messengers that I met at the Wall. I used to hang out with him and Spanky. Bonz was a vibrant soul. He will be missed.
