The San Francisco Bicycle Messengers’ Memorial Wall was displayed and unveiled on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Benders. Here is some footage of the event with more to come. A lovely work of art and a beautiful dedication to our dear friends. Thanks to Danny Boy, Rev Jim, Aaron Dakan and many others. It can be viewed at Benders Bar and Grill, 806 S Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94110.

Thanks to the fabulous SFBMA community (former messengers, current, pandemic laid off and neighborhood supporters, Rev Jim has compiled this updated list. There are still some missing details on dates and most likely names. For all who loved these great people who have passed, together we remember and love forever. Our hearts joined in sorrow and joy- these wonderful messengers are honored and cherished.

At this stage, it might be unfair to some private establishments to mention them by name before being able to gauge their interest, so being turned down doesn’t reflect on them too negatively. They will have their reasons. But if you’d like to talk to an establishment as a potential home, please email SFBMMemorialWall@gmail.com and we’ll add you to the site-seeking roster.

Danny Boy has some great ideas, including some with multiple Wall versions. We’ll get to that later though.
